USA CYCLING POINTS & INVITATION TO NATIONALS: If a rider does all 7 races, the best 5 will count for their average for results and rankings with USA Cycling.
If
a rider races more than 2 series, then it is still the best 5, but they
start to increase the likelihood of cancelling out a bad finish with
more events.
The
top 15 in Cat 1 will be qualified to race at Nationals. Cat 2 and 3 do
not have to qualify, but the rankings points help determine the riders
starting position for Nationals.
GNR SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP: To
compete for Go Nuts series prizes, riders must enter at least five of
the seven races in a single season. Points are awarded 20 down to 1 and
any one after 20th place. Example – If 22 riders race in the same cat,
first place receives 20 points, second place 19 points and so on.
Finishers 21 & 22 will receive 1 point. Every rider will receive
points per race. Races 2 & 6 are double points. This will help a
rider who missed or did poorly in a previous race. The GNB Regional
Series ends with prizes and raffles at a banquet hosted by the Loft in
Columbus, GA.
